16,000 Blossoms at Lintaon Peak and the Surreal Surprise

Recently, I reread the classic tale of The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. D'Artagnan came to Paris who hoped to become a Musketeer. At once, he found himself caught in high adventures. Along with his journey, he found friends who were the three musketeers.

Like the Three Musketeers, I found myself an unexpected journey.  I was at the 16,000 Blossoms in Lintaon Peak, Baybay with three other friends.

"16,000 Blossoms at Lintaon Peak is a destination in Baybay, Leyte"

It was the following day when I decided to take charge of where I'd be traveling. The previous night I thought of trekking Alto Peak or visiting Lake Danao the next day. But it did not materialize. In a moment, I felt sad yet I am reminded about a friend who lived in a different city in Leyte. With gist, I called him up and met him.

The Long Motorbike Ride
I took the journey from Ormoc City to Baybay with Vinea and Lea. Since Vinea has a motorbike, we agreed to take the long road trip for more than an hour. My friend from Bato, Leyte agreed to meet up in Baybay.

Accelerating for almost 60kph, we somehow arrived in Baybay in one piece. Along the motorbike ride, I enjoyed looking up at the eastern coast and the western mountains. It both boosted my adventurer spirit. I encountered Mt. Pangasugan again and I reminded myself of the promise I left in Baybay. I would climb up Mt. Pangasugan, the last forest frontier of the Eastern Visayas.

Finally, we arrived at the city of Baybay and met up with Ram, my blogger friend at the truebluecebuano. Together, the four of us journeyed up to Lintaon Peak.

Lintaon Peak and the 16,000 Blossoms and the Surprise
I haven't heard about the 16,000 Blossoms at Lintaon Peak in Baybay, Leyte before. It was Vinea and Ram who suggested about it that I gave a go. Lake Danao and Alto Peak could wait. I am sure I'd be back in Leyte.

With almost an hour ride from Baybay Terminal going up to Lintaon Peak, I could only think of these words - Worth it!
"Riding up Lintaon Peak"

The winding road ascended up to Lintaon Peak paved way to greener scenery. The cool air started hugging me as gradual as we reached the peak. The picturesque view of the sea meeting up the horizon was a sight to behold. The Cuatros Islas were also visible from our point of view.
"At the day unfolds, it is then the time to 16,000 Roses to Bloom"

As we waited for the night for the 16,000 Blossoms to lit up, I witnessed something interesting. It caught my attention. I thought how lucky I was to be at the top of Lintaon Peak.
"Breathtaking sunset at 16,000 Blossoms, Lintaon Peak, Baybay, Leyte"

For more than the 16,000 Blossoms, I lived up to see the thousand setting of the sun on its horizon. The Planck Time of the day and the night. The natural lamplighter did the transition of the sleep and wake cycle.
